The International Seibukan Goshinjutsu Budo Association (ISGBA)

We are proud to announce the formation of the International Seibukan Goshinjutsu Budo Association (ISGBA), a unified body dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Toribio lineage disciplines worldwide.

Our Mission

The ISGBA’s mission is to foster a global community of martial artists who uphold the highest standards of training, ethics, and personal development. We aim to provide a supportive and collaborative environment for member branches, ensuring the continued growth and evolution of their unique traditions within a cohesive framework.

Relationship with Member Branches

The ISGBA serves as an umbrella organization for a diverse range of martial arts, each with its own distinct history, techniques, and philosophy. Current member branches include:

  • Seibukan Jujutsu: Focused on self-protection and personal development, adapting ancient traditions for modern needs.
  • Seibukan Jojutsu: Specializing in the art of staff fighting, emphasizing precision and control.
  • Seikendo: A synthesis of healing arts like Shiatsu, massage, and Chi Kung, blending Western and Oriental medicine to balance the body’s energies and promote health.
  • Enshin Itto Ryu Battojutsu: Dedicated to the art of swordsmanship, preserving historical techniques and traditions.
  • Aikido: Emphasizing harmony and redirection of force, promoting conflict resolution and self-improvement.
  • Ninjutsu: Exploring stealth, strategy, and adaptability.
  • Action Self Defense: Reality based self defense drills and concepts.
  • Other Recognized Lineages: The ISGBA welcomes other martial arts lineages that align with its core values and contribute to the richness of the Seibukan tradition.

Key Functions of the ISGBA

  • Standardization: Establishing and maintaining consistent standards for ranking, certification, and instruction across member branches.
  • Support: Offering resources, training opportunities, and networking platforms to support the growth and development of instructors and students.
  • Promotion: Raising awareness of Seibukan family martial arts and their benefits through public events, demonstrations, and educational initiatives.
  • Governance: Ensuring ethical conduct and adherence to the ISGBA Code of Conduct, fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive training environment for all members. Leadership of the ISGBA will include the sitting Kancho of all member branches as well as senior members, support staff, and advisors as needed.

Collaboration: Facilitating communication and collaboration between member branches, encouraging the sharing of knowledge and best practices.
